Subdivision 1.Scope. For the purposes of this section and section135A.52, the following words have the meanings ascribed to them. Subd. 2.Senior citizen. "Senior citizen" means a person who has reached 62 years of age before the beginning of any term, semester or quarter, in which a course of study is pursued, or a person receiving a railroad retirement annuity who has reached 60 years of age before the beginning of the term. Subd. 3.Course. "Course" means any course of study offered by a state supported institution of higher education in the regular curriculum of a department, school or subdivision of the institution, or a special course given for any purpose, including, but not limited to, adult education.
