Subdivision 1.Scope. The sections referred to in this section are codified outside chapter 13. Those sections classify Department of Commerce data as other than public, place restrictions on access to government data, or involve data sharing. Subd. 2.Department of Commerce; generally.

(a)Certain data received by commissioner of commerce.Certain data received because of the participation of the commissioner of commerce in various organizations are classified under section45.012.

(b)Investigations.Classification, disclosure, and collection of data relating to investigations conducted by the commissioner of commerce pursuant to section45.027, are governed by subdivisions 1, 7, and 7a of that section. Subd. 3.Vehicle protection product warrantors.
Financial information provided to the commissioner of commerce by vehicle protection product warrantors is classified under section59C.05, subdivision 3.

Subd. 4.Actuarial data.
Actuarial reports and related data of the Department of Commerce are classified under section60A.1296.

Subd. 5.

Subd. 6.Claims for abandoned property.
Access to data related to a person's claim for an interest in certain unclaimed property is governed by section345.49.

Subd. 7.Student loan servicers.
Data collected, created, received, maintained, or disseminated under chapter 58B are governed by section58B.10.
