Subdivision 1.Eligibility. School districts located in greater Minnesota that submit a letter of intent and begin the transitional planning year, under section122A.414, subdivision 1a, are eligible for alternative compensation application assistance. For the purposes of this section, an eligible school district is any school district located in the rural equity region under section126C.10, subdivision 28. Subd. 2.Multidistrict technical assistance. The department shall provide technical assistance in the form of, but not limited to, networking, training, and professional development to a rural district or groups of rural districts in developing applications for the alternative compensation program.
