The Great Lakes -- St. Lawrence River Basin Water Resources Compact is enacted into law and entered into with all jurisdictions legally joining therein in the form substantially as follows: ARTICLE 1 SHORT TITLE, DEFINITIONS, PURPOSES AND DURATION Section 1.1. Short title. This act shall be known and may be cited as the "Great Lakes -- St. Lawrence River Basin Water Resources Compact." Section 1.2. Definitions. For the purposes of this compact, and of any supplemental or concurring legislation enacted pursuant thereto, except as may be otherwise required by the context: "Adaptive management" means a water resources management system that provides a systematic process for evaluation, monitoring and learning from the outcomes of operational programs and adjustment of policies, plans and prog
