Subdivision 1.Establishment order. After receiving approval of cost-share funding from the board, the local unit of government shall order the establishment or restoration of the wetland. The local unit of government shall pay all costs of establishing or restoring the wetland including the compensation required under subdivision 2. Subd. 2.Compensation. In exchange for the permanent conservation easement on an established or restored wetland, the local unit of government shall pay the applicant the amount required under section103F.515, subdivision 6, for a permanent conservation easement.
