CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS' TRAINING ACT OF 1982 (EXCERPT) Act 415 of 1982 791.506 Council member not disqualified from holding public office or employment. Sec.
6.A member of the council shall not be disqualified from holding any public office or employment by reason of his or her appointment or membership on the council, nor shall he or she forfeit any such office or employment, by reason of his or her appointment under this act, notwithstanding the provisions of any local or special act or any local law, ordinance, or charter.
