MICHIGAN UNIFORM MUNICIPAL COURT ACT (EXCERPT) Act 5 of 1956 730.533 Conciliation division; transfer to regular division; costs. Sec.

33.Either party to a suit in the conciliation division shall be entitled to make demand, before the commencement of the hearing in his cause, to transfer the cause to the regular division; the conciliator shall then transfer the cause to the regular division of the court. At the termination of the suit, the judge hearing the same shall have discretion to save the opposite party harmless from costs caused by the transfer to the regular division, if in his opinion the cause should have been heard in the conciliation division.
