MICHIGAN UNIFORM MUNICIPAL COURT ACT (EXCERPT) Act 5 of 1956 730.528 Provisions applicable to municipal judges and municipal courts; fees. Sec.

28.All the provisions of general statutes, local or special acts, or charter provisions, relating to justices of the peace and to justice courts in any city, shall apply to the municipal judges and to the municipal court of any city affected by the provisions of this act. The legislative body of any city may provide for a fixed fee not exceeding $5.50 if the amount in controversy does not exceed $600.00, and a fee not exceeding $11.00 in all other civil cases except as otherwise provided by law. Nothing in this section shall be considered to change the fees for jurors, witness fees and mileage, attorney fees, or constable's fees and mileage which
