DRAWING JURIES IN JUSTICE COURT (EXCERPT) Act 179 of 1951 730.416 Peremptory challenges. Sec.
16.In a criminal trial the people and the respondent shall each be entitled to 4 peremptory challenges and no more. In a civil trial the plaintiff and the defendant shall each be entitled to 2 peremptory challenges and no more.
