CHILD CARE ORGANIZATIONS (EXCERPT) Act 116 of 1973 722.118a Assessment of child care organization compliance with act and rules; assessment of foster family home or foster family group home; certification; on-site evaluation. Sec. 8a. (1) The department shall periodically assess a child care organization's continued compliance with this act and the rules promulgated under this act. The department shall make an on-site evaluation of a child care organization at least once a year. (2) The department may authorize a child placing agency or governmental unit to periodically assess a licensed foster family home or a licensed foster family group home under subsection (1) and to certify that the foster family home or the foster family group home continues to comply with this act and the rules promulgated under this act. A periodic assessment of a licensed foster family home or a licensed foster family group home under this subsection may include an on-site evaluation of the child care organization.
