UNIFORM PUBLIC EXPRESSION PROTECTION ACT (EXCERPT) Act 52 of 2025 ***** 691.1855.new THIS NEW SECTION IS EFFECTIVE MARCH 24, 2026 ***** 691.1855.new Hearing. Sec. 5.

(1)The court shall hear a motion under section 3 not later than 60 days after the motion is filed, unless the court orders a later hearing for either of the following reasons:
(a)To allow discovery under section 4(4).
(b)For other good cause.
(2)If the court orders a later hearing under subsection (1)(a), the court shall hear the motion under section 3 not later than 60 days after the court order allowing the discovery, unless the court orders a later hearing under subsection (1)(b).
