DISCHARGE OF PROHIBITED RESTRICTIVE COVENANTS ACT (EXCERPT) Act 234 of 2022 565.871 Duties not created by act; liability. Sec. 11.

(1)Except as otherwise provided in section 6(2) and (6), this act does not create a duty on the part of an owner, occupant, tenant, association, board, or member or officer of a board to do any of the following as authorized under this act:
(a)Record a discharge form.
(b)Bring an action under this act.
(2)An owner, occupant, tenant, association, board, or member or officer of a board is not liable for failing to do any of the following as authorized under this act:
(a)Record a discharge form.
(b)Bring an action in court under this act.
(3)This act does not limit any right or remedy under the Elliott-Larsen civil rights act, 1976 PA 453, MCL 37.2101 to 37
