CONTINUING CARE COMMUNITY DISCLOSURE ACT (EXCERPT) Act 448 of 2014 554.913 Continuing care community; organization and operation; purpose; member to service in advisory capacity. Sec. 13.

(1)A continuing care community shall be organized and operated as either a for-profit or nonprofit entity. The entity's purposes shall be limited to ownership, organization, and operation of the continuing care community.
(2)Each continuing care community shall elect or appoint at least 1 member, along with an alternate, to serve in an advisory capacity to its governing body. The member shall be notified in advance of and invited to attend all meetings of the governing body. The member shall not have a vote unless the governing body grants such voting rights.
