INTERSTATE INCOME WITHHOLDING ACT (EXCERPT) Act 216 of 1985 552.682 Voluntary income withholding. Sec.

12.A person who is the obligor on a support order of another jurisdiction may obtain voluntary income withholding by filing with the office of the friend of the court in the county in which withholding is sought a request for income withholding and a certified copy of the support order of the other jurisdiction. The court shall enter an order of income withholding and the order shall take effect immediately. An order of income withholding entered under this section shall be treated in all respects in the same manner as other orders of income withholding entered pursuant to this act.
