CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION (EXCERPT) Act 298 of 1966 51.366 Act effective upon approval by electors; petition; ballot; form; referendum. Sec. 16.
(1)This act shall not take effect in any county until approved by a majority of the electors voting on the question at an election at which the question of adoption of this act for that county is properly submitted.
(2)The board of supervisors, by resolution, shall submit the question to the electors at any regular election upon the filing of a petition requesting the submission of the question with the board signed by registered electors of the county equal to not less than 10% of the total vote cast in the county for the office of secretary of state at the most recent general election.
