POWERS AND DUTIES (EXCERPT) Act 2 of 1867 51.221 Sheriff, undersheriff, or deputy sheriff; powers and duties; fees. Sec.

1.A sheriff, undersheriff, or deputy sheriff of a county of this state may serve or execute civil or criminal process issued by a court of this state, and have and exercise all the powers and duties of constables. Except where other fees are expressly provided, they shall be entitled to the same fees for these services as are allowed by law to constables in like cases.
