REGULATORY LOAN ACT (EXCERPT) Act 21 of 1939 493.12 Statements or representations by licensee; lien on real estate; confession of judgment or power of attorney prohibited; note or evidence of indebtedness; blanks; discrimination on basis of sex or marital status prohibited; knowingly permitting person to violate order; fee; conditions. Sec. 12.

(1)A licensee or other person shall not advertise, print, display, publish, distribute, or broadcast or cause or permit to be advertised, printed, displayed, published, distributed, or broadcast, in any manner whatsoever a false, misleading, or deceptive statement or representation with regard to the rates, terms, or conditions for the lending of money, credit, goods, or things in action.
(2)A licensee shall not take a lien on real estate as secur
