CHARTER COUNTIES (EXCERPT) Act 293 of 1966 45.511 Charter commission; draft of proposed charter, approval; dissolution upon failure to agree. Sec.
11.The commission shall draft a proposed charter within 180 days after the date of completing its organization as provided in section 10. If the commission has not agreed upon a proposed charter within the 180 days period the charter commission shall be dissolved. Before any proposed charter is submitted to the electors, it shall be approved by a majority of the members elected to the commission with the vote and names of the members voting thereon entered in the journal.
