THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP ACT (EXCERPT) Act 359 of 1947 42.15 Ordinances to provide for peace, health, and safety; licenses, granting, fees, bonds. Sec. 15.

(1)The township board of any charter township may enact ordinances considered necessary to provide for the public peace and health and for the safety of persons and property in the charter township, and may, except as otherwise provided in subsection (2), by ordinance prescribe the terms and conditions upon which licenses may be granted, suspended, or revoked. The charter township board may in those ordinances require and exact payment of reasonable amounts for any licenses considered proper.
