PAVEMENTS, SIDEWALKS, AND ELEVATED STRUCTURES (EXCERPT) Act 246 of 1931 41.282 Maintenance and repair of improvement; proration of expense of joint improvement. Sec.
12.After the completion of said proposed improvement, the highway authorities having jurisdiction over the highway involved, shall maintain and repair said pavement and/or sidewalk and shall keep the same in a reasonably safe condition for public travel, using for this purpose any money which may be available for the maintenance and repair of said highway. If there is a surplus of the money collected after paying the cost of building such proposed improvement, the same shall be turned over to the highway authorities having the responsibility for the maintenance and repair thereof and shall be used solely for such maintenance
