EARNED SICK TIME ACT (EXCERPT) Act 338 of 2018 408.966 Exercise of rights under act; interference, restraint, or denial prohibited; retaliatory personnel action or discrimination prohibited; absence control policy leading to or resulting in retaliatory personnel action prohibited; person mistakenly alleging violation. Sec. 6.

(1)An employer or any other person shall not interfere with, restrain, or deny the exercise of, or the attempt to exercise, any right protected under this act.
(2)An employer shall not take retaliatory personnel action or discriminate against an employee because the employee has exercised a right protected under this act.
