SKI AREA SAFETY ACT OF 1962 (EXCERPT) Act 199 of 1962 408.337 Chief inspector; inspection service. Sec.
17.The department, with the advice and consent of the board, shall employ or retain a person qualified in engineering and training who shall be designated chief inspector. The chief inspector and such additional inspectors and other employees as may be necessary to properly administer this act may be hired on a temporary basis or borrowed from other state departments, or the department may contract with persons, partnerships or corporations for such inspection services on an independent basis.
