SKI AREA SAFETY ACT OF 1962 (EXCERPT) Act 199 of 1962 408.329 Ski lifts; permits requirement, inspection. Sec.

9.No person shall operate a ski lift without a permit issued by the commissioner. On or before October 1 of each year an operator shall apply for a permit to the commissioner on a form furnished by the commissioner and containing such information as the board may require. All ski lifts shall be inspected before they are originally put into operation for the public's use and thereafter at least once every 12 months, unless permitted to operate on a temporary permit.
