ELEVATOR SAFETY BOARD (EXCERPT) Act 227 of 1967 408.807 Elevator safety board; creation; appointment, qualifications, and terms of members; vacancy; compensation and expenses. Sec. 7.
(1)The elevator safety board consisting of 11 members is created, 1 of whose members is the director. The governor shall appoint, with the advice and consent of the senate, the other 10 members for terms of 4 years. The governor shall fill a vacancy on the board for the remainder of the unexpired term with a representative of the same interest as that of the predecessor. Of the appointed members, 1 shall be a representative of owners and lessees of elevators within this state, 2 shall be representatives of insurance companies authorized to insure elevators in this state, 2 shall be representatives of the ele
