OLDER MICHIGANIANS ACT (EXCERPT) Act 180 of 1981 400.586c Volunteer service credit program. Sec. 6c.

(1)The office may establish a program in 1 or more counties under which an older person, or a person of any age who is a member of an organization that is exempt from taxation under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, 26 U.S.C. 501, may volunteer his or her time and services to an in-home service or volunteer agency that serves older persons and is approved by the office, and receive credit for providing volunteer respite services and other volunteer services. A volunteer shall not be credited with more than 10 hours of volunteer services for any week.
