HIGHER EDUCATION LOAN AUTHORITY ACT (EXCERPT) Act 222 of 1975 390.1161 Default; appointment and powers of trustee; rights of bondholders and trustee. Sec. 11.
(1)If the authority defaults in the payment of principal of or interest on an issue of bonds after the issue becomes due, whether at maturity or upon call for redemption, and the default continues for 30 days, or if the authority fails or refuses to comply with this act, or defaults in an agreement made with the holders of an issue of bonds, the holders of 25% in aggregate principal amount of the bonds of the issue then outstanding, by instrument or instruments filed in the office of the clerk of the county of Ingham and approved or acknowledged in the same manner as a deed to be recorded, may appoint a trustee to represent the hold
