POSTSECONDARY ENROLLMENT OPTIONS ACT (EXCERPT) Act 160 of 1996 388.515 Participation in intercollegiate athletics prohibited; exceptions. Sec. 5.
(1)Except as otherwise provided in this section, an eligible student enrolled in a postsecondary institution under this act shall not participate in intercollegiate athletics at the postsecondary institution while he or she is enrolled under this act. An eligible student who violates this subsection forfeits his or her eligibility under this act.
(2)This section does not apply to an eligible student to whom all of the following apply:
(a)The eligible student is enrolled in an early middle college program.
(b)The eligible student is in his or her fifth year of high school in the early middle college program described in subdivision (a).
