CAREER AND TECHNICAL PREPARATION ACT (EXCERPT) Act 258 of 2000 388.1905 Intercollegiate athletics; participation prohibited; exceptions. Sec. 5.
(1)Except as otherwise provided in this section, an eligible student enrolled in a career and technical preparation program under this act shall not participate in intercollegiate athletics while he or she is enrolled in the career and technical preparation program under this act. An eligible student who violates this section forfeits his or her eligibility under this act.
(2)This section does not apply to an eligible student to whom all of the following apply:
(a)The eligible student is enrolled in an early middle college program.
(b)The eligible student is in his or her fifth year of high school in the early middle college program described
