PSEUDORABIES AND SWINE BRUCELLOSIS CONTROL AND ERADICATION ACT (EXCERPT) Act 239 of 1992 287.833 Identification of herd of origin; notification; availability of herd for official test. Sec. 33.

(1)Brucellosis or pseudorabies positive swine shall be traced to the herd of origin. The director shall notify the owner of the herd of origin within 60 days after the date the department is notified of positive swine.
(2)When the herd of origin has been identified, the owner of the swine herd in this state shall, upon request by the director, make available his or her swine for an official test for the detection of brucellosis or pseudorabies and shall provide the necessary facilities for handling and restraining the swine, and shall render any reasonable assistance required by the director.
