DOG LAW OF 1919 (EXCERPT) Act 339 of 1919 287.287 Recovery of value of dog illegally killed. Sec.
27.Nothing in this act shall be construed to prevent the owner of a licensed dog from recovery, by action at law, from any police officer or other person, the value of any dog illegally killed by such police officer or other person.
