LARGE CARNIVORE ACT (EXCERPT) Act 274 of 2000 287.1110 Euthanasia of large carnivore exposing human, livestock, or mammalian pet to rabies; examination. Sec.
10.If a large carnivore potentially exposes a human, livestock, or a mammalian pet to rabies by any means identified in this section, the large carnivore shall be humanely euthanized by a veterinarian. The large carnivore shall be immediately examined for rabies in the manner provided by rules promulgated under section 5111 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.5111.
