MICHIGAN ORGANIC PRODUCTS ACT (EXCERPT) Act 316 of 2000 286.922 Reciprocity agreement with another state, country, or private certifying organization. Sec. 22.
(1)The department may enter into a reciprocity agreement with a state or country that has an organic program that has been determined by the director to be substantially equivalent. This includes, but is not limited to, certification standards for organic producers or handlers or products, licensure, or other state regulation of certifying agents.
(2)In a state or country that the director has determined to have no organic program including, but not limited to, certification standards for organic producers or handlers or products, licensure, or other regulation of certifying agents, the director may enter into a reciprocity agreem
