CERTIFICATION OF SEED (EXCERPT) Act 221 of 1959 286.75 Violation of act; penalty; seizure of mislabeled seeds. Sec.
5.Whoever sells or offers or exposes for sale any seed within this state represented to be or labeled as certified, foundation, registered or breeder seed, as defined in this act, unless it has been produced and labeled in compliance with the rules and regulations promulgated by the director under the provisions of this act, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. The director or his duly authorized agent is authorized to seize and take possession of such seeds in accordance with the procedure set forth in section 10 of Act No. 314 of the Public Acts of 1923, as amended, being section 286.60 of the Compiled Laws of 1948.
