CONTROL OF TRAFFIC IN PARKING AREAS (EXCERPT) Act 235 of 1969 257.942a Designation of parking spaces for persons with disabilities; ordinance. Sec. 2a. The governing body of a city or village, or the board of a township, shall provide, by local ordinance, for parking spaces specifically designated for persons with disabilities in numbers to conform with the requirements of section 2 of 1966 PA 1, MCL 125.1352, in each shopping center parking area within its jurisdiction. If on the effective date of this section a shopping center is in compliance with a local ordinance relating to the number of parking spaces that the shopping center is required to provide, the shopping center shall not be held in violation of that ordinance if the designation of parking space required by this section reduc
