MICHIGAN CAMPAIGN FINANCE ACT (EXCERPT) Act 388 of 1976 169.251 Independent expenditure of $100.01 or more; report; forwarding copies to filing officers; late filing fees; violation as misdemeanor. Sec. 51.

(1)A person, other than a committee, that makes an independent expenditure, advocating the election or defeat of a candidate or the qualification, passage, or defeat of a ballot question, in an amount of $100.01 or more in a calendar year shall file a report of the independent expenditure, within 10 days after making that independent expenditure, with the clerk of the county of residence of that person.
