THE CONVENTION FACILITY AUTHORITY ACT (EXCERPT) Act 203 of 1999 141.1408 Powers of authority; tax levy prohibited. Sec. 8.

(1)An authority may do all things necessary or convenient to carry out the purposes, objectives, and provisions of this act and the purposes, objectives, and powers delegated to the authority or the board by other laws or executive orders, including, without limitation, all of the following:
(a)Adopt bylaws for the regulation of its affairs and alter the bylaws at its pleasure.
(b)Sue and be sued in its own name.
(c)Enter into contracts, including management contracts, and other instruments necessary, incidental, or convenient to the performance of its duties and the exercise of its powers and designate the person or persons who have authority to execute those cont
