LAND RECLAMATION AND IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY ACT (EXCERPT) Act 173 of 1992 125.2457 Documents; filing; recording; issuance of certificate; filing date. Sec. 7.

(1)After the appointment to the authority board of the proposed authority of each of the individuals required to be appointed pursuant to section 8, the person who filed the petition under section 4 shall file all of the following with the secretary of state, the township clerk of each township within which all or part of the proposed authority district is located, and the county clerk and register of deeds of the county within which the proposed authority district is located:

(a)A certified copy of the petition.

(b)A certified copy of the statement of approval.

(2) The secretary of state shall record in an appropriate book of record the documents filed with the secretary of state under subsection (1) and shall issue to the person who filed the petition under section 4 a certificate certifying the establishment of the authority and the boundaries of the authority district. (3) The authority is established on the date of filing with the secretary of state the documents required to be filed under subsection (1).
