LAND RECLAMATION AND IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY ACT (EXCERPT) Act 173 of 1992 125.2454 Land reclamation and improvement authority; establishment; petition requirements. Sec. 4. A person seeking to establish a land reclamation and improvement authority shall file a petition with the department. The petition shall meet all of the following requirements:

(a)Include all of the following:
(i)The name and address of the person filing the petition.
(ii)The name of the proposed authority, which shall not be similar to the name of the county within which the proposed authority district is located or to the name of a local unit of government all or part of which is located within that county.
(iii)The boundaries of the proposed authority district.
(iv)A description of a blighted area within the prop
