Text

The officer shall devise plans for and cooperate with appointing authorities and other supervising officials in the development and conduct of employee training and registered apprenticeship programs to recruit and develop well qualified employees, to aid in meeting affirmative action requirements and to otherwise carry out the State's role as a responsible and effective employer. The Department of Labor, Bureau of Employment Services shall assist the officer in determining which classifications are apprenticeable and in encouraging and assisting state agencies to utilize the benefits of registered apprenticeship programs or other training programs.
