Text

Every new application for a license to act as a pilot on coastal waters must be accompanied by an application fee of $500 for the first pilotage area and $50 for each successive pilotage area. Original and renewal license fees are $375 for 5 years, regardless of number of areas being renewed. Licenses may be renewed up to 90 days after the date of expiration upon payment of a late fee of $100 in addition to the renewal fee. Any person who submits an application for renewal more than 90 days after the licensing renewal date is subject to all requirements governing new applicants under this chapter. A holder of a license on the effective date of this paragraph is not required to renew that license until the next expiration and renewal of the federal license.
