Text
A municipal power district shall be organized under the following provisions.
1.Trustee.
Upon formation of a district under section 3903, all the affairs of the district must be managed by a board of 3 trustees who must be residents of the district. They hold office as provided in subsection 2 and until their respective successors are elected and qualified. When any trustee ceases to be a resident of the district, that trustee's position becomes vacant. Trustees are subject to Title 30‑A, section 2605, concerning conflict of interest.
2.Election.
Within 60 days after the formation of a district, the municipal officers shall appoint the initial board of trustees, one member for a term of one year, one member for a term of 2 years and one member for a term of 3 years. Each year as the term
