§ 34-A §3009 — Public ways and parking areas
1.Rules.
The chief administrative officers of correctional or detention facilities may adopt and enforce rules, subject to the approval of the commissioner, governing the use of public ways and parking areas maintained by the State at the facilities.
2.Special police officers.
The chief administrative officers of correctional or detention facilities may appoint and employ, subject to the Civil Service Law, special police officers for the purpose of enforcing rules promulgated under subsection 1.
3.Court procedure.
The District Court, in the areas in which the facilities are located, has jurisdiction in all proceedings brought under this section.
4.Prohibited acts; fines.
