Text
The Prisoner Boarding Fund is established in the department to provide funding for the boarding of prisoners at county jail facilities.
1.Commissioner's powers.
The commissioner may receive and use, for the purpose of this section, money appropriated by the State.
2.Prisoner Boarding Fund.
All funds appropriated for the purpose of this section must be credited to the Prisoner Boarding Fund. State funds appropriated to the Prisoner Boarding Fund that are unexpended at the end of the fiscal year for which the funds are appropriated do not lapse, but must carry forward into subsequent fiscal years to be expended for the purpose of this section.
