Text

An allopathic physician licensed pursuant to chapter 48, an osteopathic physician licensed pursuant to chapter 36, a chiropractor licensed pursuant to chapter 9 and a podiatrist licensed pursuant to chapter 51 who treats Medicare-eligible individuals shall post in a conspicuous place that professional's policy regarding the acceptance of Medicare assignment. This posting must state the policy on accepting assignment and name the individual with whom the patient should communicate regarding the policy. The Board of Licensure in Medicine, the Board of Osteopathic Licensure, the Board of Licensure of Podiatric Medicine and the Board of Chiropractic Licensure shall enforce the provisions of this section and inform each licensee of the licensee's obligation under this law.
