Text
1.Conviction in connection with claim.
A claimant convicted of any crime involving forgery, fraud, deception or falsification in connection with a claim made under this subchapter forfeits any restitution assistance award paid to the claimant under this subchapter.
2.Civil action for recovery.
The administrator may request that the Attorney General bring a civil action in accordance with section 16603 to recover funds awarded to a claimant convicted of any crime involving forgery, fraud, deception or falsification in connection with a claim made under this subchapter.
