Text
A municipality may raise or appropriate money to:
1.Anniversary.
Celebrate any anniversary of its settlement or incorporation and publish the proceedings of the celebration;
2.Holidays.
Observe Memorial Day, Veterans Day and any other day set apart for commemoration;
3.Christmas.
Decorate for Christmas;
4.Music.
Support an organization to provide music for municipal functions and public celebrations; and
5.Memorials for veterans.
Provide for monuments and memorials, and real estate suitable for their erection, to honor the veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States who sacrificed their lives in defense of their country.
