§ 30-A §5102 — Creation of authority

A municipality may create an Urban Renewal Authority under this chapter as follows.

1.Resolution. No municipality may exercise the authority conferred upon municipalities by this chapter until its municipal officers have adopted a resolution finding that:

After making this finding, the municipal officers may submit the following question to the voters at any regular or special election or town meeting in accordance with the municipal charter or section 2528:"Shall the municipality adopt the provisions of the urban renewal law, Maine Revised Statutes, Title 30‑A, chapter 203, and authorize the establishment of an Urban Renewal Authority?"
3.Favorable vote. If a majority of the ballots cast on this question favor acceptance, this law becomes effective immediately up
