§ 30-A §3202 — National forest funds; use for schools and roads
All sums received by the State from the Federal Government on account of the national forests in the State established under the "Weeks Act," Public Law 61-435, and amendments to that Act, shall be distributed as follows.
1.Apportionment and payment.
The Treasurer of State shall first apportion these funds among the municipalities and unorganized places in which the national forest is located, in proportion to the area of the national forest in each, as determined by the Forest Service of the United States Department of Agriculture. The Treasurer of State shall pay the apportioned sums, within 60 days of receipt of the funds, to the treasurers of the appropriate municipalities.
2.Expenditure by municipalities.
