Text
The clerk may appoint in writing one or more assistants who shall perform any duties of the office prescribed by the clerk.
1.Sworn and oath recorded.
Before assuming the duties of office, an assistant clerk must be sworn and the fact of the oath recorded as provided in section 2526, subsection 9.
2.Term.
The assistant clerk serves at the will of the clerk.
3.Bond liability.
The clerk and the surety on the clerk's bond are liable for all acts and omissions of the assistant.
