§ 3 §42 — Clerk and assistant clerk; salaries and duties

The Clerk of the House of Representatives shall perform the usual duties of the clerk's office during the session of the Legislature and index the house journal. In the months of November and December next preceding the convening of the regular sessions of the Legislature, the clerk shall keep open the clerk's office each Wednesday and Thursday for the convenience of the public and members-elect of the Legislature. The clerk shall perform the services required by sections 41 and 43. The Assistant Clerk of the House of Representatives is entitled to receive a salary as provided by law and shall work under the direction of the clerk.
